Five seniors that competed at the 2019 District 1 DECA Career Development Conference on January 17, 2019 have qualified to advance to state, which will take place in Dallas, TX on February 21-23.

Samantha Espinoza advanced to the state level with her public relations project about Special Olympics; she had to type a 20-page essay and a poster board.

Itzel Saucedo & Salvador Ramirez competed as a team for the Travel and Tourism Team Decision contest, where they took a hundred question exam participated in a role-play discussion about travel and tourism.

Misael Garza also role-played and took a hundred question exam on Personal Financial Literacy.

Armando Guevara presented a 10-minute presentation and wrote a 20-page essay on Matenasium for the Franchise Business Plan contest.

The seniors will travel to Dallas with the hope of advancing to the ICDC national contest in Orlando, FL during the spring.
